Solar Connector: Design Features and Key Components

Housing: Usually made of PPE, PPO and other strong engineering plastics, with excellent weather resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, can adapt to the complex and changeable outdoor environment, effectively protect internal metal components and electrical connections from external factors.


Self-locking buckle: The male is designed with a self-locking structure, which automatically locks after being inserted into the female and in place, ensuring a strong and reliable connection, preventing the plug from loosening or falling off due to external forces such as vibration and pulling, thereby ensuring the continuous stability of the electrical connection.


Waterproof ring: The male end is equipped with a rubber waterproof ring, which can effectively block moisture infiltration after the male and female ends are docked, achieving a reliable sealing effect. It is usually IP67 or IP68 waterproof and keeps the interior dry even in dusty environments or in the event of short immersion in water.


Metal Copper Core: The internal conductive components are made of high-quality copper alloy, with a socket inside the male and a pin inside the female, and the surface is often tinned or silver-plated. This not only reduces contact resistance and enhances oxidation resistance, but also ensures excellent conductivity and low loop resistance, reducing energy transfer losses.


Metal elastic pressing net: The male copper core socket is equipped with a metal elastic pressing net, when the female pin is inserted, the pressure net will fit closely to the surface of the pin, further enhance the stability of electrical contact, and ensure unimpeded current transmission.


Metal barbs: The male and female copper cores are designed with metal barb structures, which can be firmly fixed after inserting into the shell, preventing the copper core from loosening due to external forces and ensuring the long-term stability of the internal connection structure.


Cable clamp: The tail of the connector is equipped with a cable clamp, which deforms the cable clamp by tightening the open-hole nut, and then presses the waterproof ring and cable skin, and uses friction to lock the cable position. This design not only prevents the cable from being accidentally pulled off, but also helps improve the overall waterproof performance.

UV protection: The material is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, and is not easy to age and crack with long-term use;

High voltage and current adaptation: suitable for DC voltage and current up to 1000V, 1500V or higher in photovoltaic systems, with low transmission loss;

Quick plugging and unplugging: adopting self-locking design, easy and fast plugging and unplugging operation, stable connection;

Anti-misinsertion: The male and female connectors and the positive and negative electrode structures adopt differentiated chemical design to effectively avoid misconnection.
